Priscilla Brown established her practice with a commitment to delivering high quality legal advice while working closely with clients to resolve issues effectively.
She started as a solicitor at one of New Zealand’s leading commercial firms, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, and has since gained significant experience at boutique general and trusts and estate practices.
Her most recent experience was with TGT Legal where she worked on both contentious and non-contentious trust, estate and relationship property matters.
Priscilla has appeared in the Family Court and High Court in relation to trust, estate, relationship property and care of children issues. She also advised on trust related issues, estate plans, relationship property agreements, and charitable trusts.
Priscilla graduated from the University of Auckland in 1993 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Bachelor of Arts (Economics).
"I started my legal career working in commercial law. However, I soon realised what I most enjoyed about my role was working closely with people to resolve issues in their private lives. It is a privilege to be trusted with a client’s personal concerns and to assist with the resolution of a difficult problem or help plan for the future.
The dynamics of family relationships can pose unique issues. The strengths that I offer my clients are my open communication, proactive style and sense of fairness. I am willing to fight hard for my clients when they need it and at other times take a more conciliatory role to achieve the best results.
Life experience has made me empathetic to clients and the myriad of issues that people face in their daily lives. The most satisfaction I get is when I have resolved a dispute or an injustice faced by a client and he or she is able to move forward to re-establish a damaged relationship or walk away feeling validated and at peace."
